The Future of Arctic Mammals

The current issue of Ecological Applications is devoted entirely to
the prospects for Arctic mammals in the new climate.

The various articles set out the new and still-emerging conditions
that will favor some Arctic mammals, but bring new risk to others.
For example, the Arctic’s seal species may not all be affected in the
same way by retreat of ice and warming waters.  Impact on whale
species may also differ.

Some of the articles are Open Access, free to anyone who wants to
download and read the full text. Others only offer the abstract —
summary — of evidence reported in the full article.
