Poor Mountain, VA: Two pipeline fighters locked themselves to MVP construction equipment

cross-posted from Appalachians Against Pipelines

On Friday, two pipeline fighters locked themselves to Mountain Valley Pipeline construction equipment, stopping work on Poor Mountain for nearly 8 hours! They were both arrested, charged with a single misdemeanor, and released the same day. Check out this action video showing MVP work at a standstill! People also rallied in support nearby!
The fourth circuit court of appeals dismissed a challenge Friday to the law fast tracking the MVP through Appalachia. We’ve always known the courts won’t save us from this toxic project. It’s up to people on the ground to stop this pipeline ourselves.
