Study: Earth May Freeze Worse Than Ice Age

Read this article carefully. Periodic oscillations in Eareth’s orbit have been ongoing throughout Earth’s history-resulting in dramatic climate shifts that include ice ages. This article states that Earth may head into a cold, icy more circular orbit from its current warmer more elliptical orbit over the course of the coming millenia. The article warns that this is not an excuse to deflect efforts at stopping global heating-and it also warns that politicos and industry denialists may try to utilize this study for exactly that. Watch for this!

Action Alert: WildEarth Gets Animated About Clean Water!

WildEarth Gets Animated About Clean Water!

WildEarth Guardians is fighting for permanent protection of the cleanest waters in the Southwest, using a little known provision of the Clean Water Act (called Outstanding Waters). In New Mexico, we’re supporting Governor Richardson in his mission to designate over 5,000 river miles as Outstanding Waters, ensuring their pristine quality forever (as well as the quality of the surrounding national forest).

Our efforts include the production of our first Wild Short-an animated film meant to inform you about clean waters and inspire you to act. Follow the link below to watch the film and sign our petition:

You can help protect our clean waters in two ways: by sharing our Clean Water Video with your friends and family, and by donating today:

Each $20 donation helps preserve a mile of wild rivers across the West.

Winona LaDuke Loses Home to Fire–Needs Our Help

Winona LaDuke Loses Home to Fire–Needs Our Help

This past weekend, Winona’s house had an electrical fire and the house
burnt to the ground. No one was hurt. While the house and its contents
are gone, the blessing is that all five kids and three grandchildren are
safe. I’m writing to you because I know Winona won’t ask for help, and I
also know she really needs our support.

Winona bought her house about 20 years ago and it was filled with art,
books, music, photos and other collectibles that reflected her story and
the story of her family.
